Abstract

The link between physical activity and health has been firmly established. There is clear evidence that regular activity has both preventative and therapeutic effects on many contemporary chronic conditions such as CVD, cancer, musculoskeletal disorders, obesity, diabetes and mental illness. This paper presents an evaluation of a physical activity programme for overweight primary school children in Glasgow: a feasibility study.
