Abstract
The Minute Paper is a simple and effective feedback tool for gauging how well your students have understood a particular concept or topic. The Minute Paper is particularly effective in online environments where 'taking the temperature' of the classroom can be especially challenging. Towards the end of a class, or at a key point in the students' journey, the teacher asks students to briefly (in around a minute) answer one or two questions. Questions should be simple and focus on what they have learned. They might include: What is the most important thing they learned in the class or lecture? Are there any questions or concepts that remain unanswered or 'fuzzy
