Abstract
The methodological theorizing in this paper aims to establish or, at least, understanding better the role AI can play in the creative process. I intend to unveil some mistakes and agendas in thinking that we come across in the AI literature, and also to confront some everyday experiences. This is a type of theorizing used extensively in Gestalt psychology, and I think it can be a very important tool for management and organisation scholars in understanding AI. Clearly, AI is going to impact many facets of our research, so we cannot talk about research methodology meaningfully today without talking about AI. Is creativity, the spark of idea in science and other creative enterprises immune to this? If not, how it works and how far it goes? I am not going to answer all these questions in this developmental paper, my intention is to shed somewhat better light on the problem.
