Abstract
Recent technological advances in the computer and games industries have transformed our homes and workplaces and are now making an impact in clinical settings. Computer-assisted rehabilitation programmes that make use of Virtual Reality are poised to revolutionise how therapy is delivered, but we still know relatively little about the potential benefits of this form of intervention. This review outlines our current knowledge and highlights some of the areas for future research.
