Abstract

Data mining may be described as the science of extracting information from large data sets or databases. The scope of data mining is huge, being an important tool in many fields, such as government statistics, healthcare, astronomy, chemistry and business. Because of its high dimensionality and large information base, it is reasonable to assume that the data mining procedure can be effectively used in the field of wastewater treatment.
