Abstract

Introduction to the Proceedings of the 1st international conference on information interaction in context. IIiX is the first in a new conference series whose aim is to bring together researchers from the related areas of information seeking and behaviour, laboratory IR and interactive IR to provide a broad platform for discussion and collaboration on information seeking and retrieval. A specific aim for IIiX is to investigate how the concept of context can be understood and exploited to make information systems truly interactive.
