Abstract
200 Mbit s -1 optical DPSK heterodyne transmission experiments are described. The grating loaded SOA sources, which have linewidth of the order of 100 kHz, are used as both transmitter and local oscillator. The eye pattern and BER characteristics of this system are attained.
