Abstract

This policy brief demonstrates new research by the Centre for Energy Policy, as part of the EPSRC TARGET project, which shows that under current market arrangements, such as the prevalent Contract for Difference (CfD) framework, tidal range schemes (TRSs) are unlikely to deliver a positive net present value (NPV) during the lifetime of the assets created.
