Abstract
In 2021 and 2022 two editions of "Heritage in War and Peace" Seminars took place, at 'Sapienza' University in Rome and McGill University in Montreal, respectively. This collected edition brings together some of the many discussions which took place during the conferences and the time and places in between. In this introduction the two co-editors explain the motivations behind the convening of the Seminars, providing an overview of the book’s structure and briefly describing the papers collected here, all while pondering the current state of cultural heritage, as well as ideas for its conservation in the future.
