Abstract

Na2S and Na2S2 were selectively synthesized using a microwave-assisted thermal treatment of a Na+/S solution in tetragylme at 100-200 °C. Alpha- and β-Na2S2 could also be prepared with a good degree of selectivity. This novel synthesis yeilds phases with high purity and promising electrochemical properties.
