This paper investigates the similarity in performance of designs with equal maximum entropy values. It is expected that equal entropy values should indicate similar network hydraulic performance. Comparable analysis of equal maximum entropy designs has been done in the past based on construction cost and reliability. This paper investigates the similarity as measured by the energy dissipation rates of designs that have equal maximum entropy values. The paper also assesses the effectiveness of the resilience index and surplus power factor as surrogate measures of hydraulic reliability along with statistical entropy.
