Abstract

The design of a five-phase induction motor stator by finite element analysis is discussed. Stator slot dimensioning to ensure optimised flux distribution with respect to five-phase winding systems is presented. The motor is constructed and tested to demonstrate conformance of the practical motor with the FEA model
