Abstract

When a 1 : 1 (BuNa)-Bu-n-(Bu2Mg)-Bu-n,s mixture is treated with two molar equivalents of TMP(H) (TMP = 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-piperidide) and one molar equivalent of (-)-sparteine in hydrocarbon medium, a new chiral mixed-metal, mixed alkylamide [{(-)-sparteine}center dot Na(mu-Bu)(mu-TMP)Mg(TMP)] can be isolated.
