Wireless sensor network has been widely used in many types of monitoring application in these recent years. In usual case, the sensor nodes for monitoring application are using homogenous medium access control. For an application such as jungle fire monitoring, there are some sensor nodes which have critical information that needs to be transmitted to base station immediately when a wild fire breaks out. Due to the entire sensor nodes are transmitting the sensor packets at the same time, the air channel will be very congested and there will be huge packet losses in this situation. Therefore, in this paper, evaluation of CSMA/CA priority scheme has been conducted.
