Abstract
This is the first issue of our manifesto analysis publications, supported by the Nuffield Foundation. This is our comprehensive guide to what the eight major parties’ (Conservatives, Labour, SNP, Lib Dems, Reform UK, Green Party of England and Wales, Scottish Greens and Alba) manifestos say about what they propose on the taxes that already exist, what (if any) new taxes they propose, and whether their plans to collect additional revenue from tax compliance work really are credible.
