Abstract
Various innovative methods of teaching have started to gain attention in recent days. Some of them have their basis in software and some of them rely heavily on hardware technology. The use of purpose-built videos within the curriculum can bring extra value for the students. In this presentation, we will demonstrate our approach of using videos in teaching OR courses, more specifically the simulation modelling course. It is demonstrated that this approach is equally useful for face-to-face and distance learning classes. Some example videos will be shown which were used during the MSc and UG courses along with the feedback from students. The results show that students value greatly the use of videos in the course curriculum if that is aligned with the learning material and fulfil the objectives of the module.
