Abstract
The BHS failure has been front page news during this re-examination of our economic priorities. After the vote to leave the EU, this is an important moment for our corporate law: either we accept these types of misbehaviour or we remodel our company law to maintain the integrity of the British economy. This article proposes changes to the law on financial assistance, takeover law, distribution of profits, pensions law, and the corporate governance of public and large private companies.
