Abstract

Rising antibiotic resistance has become an increasing public health problem. In Slovenia, multiple activities were designed and introduced by the Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia (ZZZS) and other organizations to influence prescribing of antibiotics. Our aim is to present the activities, utilization of antibiotics, some resistance patterns and economic consequences.
