his paper discusses a Knowledge Transfer Partnership project between University of Strathclyde and Howden, a UK based manufacturing company. The project aim is to develop a bespoke new product development (NPD) model for the company and the paper discusses the initial analytical steps undertaken to achieve this. Based on interviews with key stakeholders from the company a framework, resulting from in-depth literature study of NPD best-practices, is revised to fit the needs of the company and the relevance of resulting changes discussed.
