Building simulation supported projects are difficult to manage when there are many different participants involved (e.g. simulation specialists, project managers, design teams with engineers and/or architects and clients). These participants are often dispersed and have a diverse knowledge level. In addition, the goal of understanding how the building works and the impact of design decisions is often hampered by limitations in the presentation of performance data. Contemporary results display is constrained to what was considered good practice some decades ago rather than in ways that preserve the richness of the underlying data. This paper discusses in detail the system connectivity of a framework from previous works which improve collaborative simulation modelling. Widely available communication protocols were used to allow concurrent information sharing between all participants. A case study is also presented to reinforce the potential benefits of the framework.
