This is Gutter, Scotlands new independent magazine of fiction and poetry. It brings you the very best from established and emerging writers born or living in Scotland. The work you will find here is in turns diverse, delicate and sometimes dangerous. But with contributors from every corner of Scotland, all the major countries of Europe, Canada, both coasts of the USA, the Antipodes and others, it is, most of all, global in attitude. At Gutter, we do not hold to any particular political outlook but wholeheartedly believe in the power of the creative imagination to challenge the status quo. This will become, over time, a place where our writers and poets can experiment, develop and flourish. We hope you will like what you find floating in this gutter.
