Abstract

An unresolved difficult past never fully goes away, rather simmering below the surface, ready to boil over when the right time arrives. The most recent years are a testament to that, with changes to cityscapes all around the world, be that as an aftermath of the Black Lives Matter movement in post-colonial countries or the new wave of post-communist iconoclasm in Central and Eastern Europe in the second decade of the twenty-first century.
