Abstract
While ocean plastics, as a form of marine pollution, undermine the protection of several human rights, there are particular concerns for children’s human rights as set out in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. This information-sheet introduces: * The negative impacts of ocean plastics on children’s human rights; * The substantive and procedural obligations of States to protect children’s rights in the context; * The responsibility of business to respect children’s rights in this context.
