Abstract
This paper uses a case study of a popular woman-centric space to explore new avenues in transformative service research, looking at the potential for women-focused services to have transformative impact on the lives of those that use them. We address the question of what benefits users and people involved in running woman-centric spaces perceive are gained from organisations and/or environments focused on women’s experiences in a British context where awareness of gender equality is becoming more widespread in the post-#MeToo era, but where much progress still remains to be made in ensuring women are able to overcome structural inequalities.
