Based on the cross-talk properties of a 1024-channel time-division-multiplexed tuner, the scalability of an optical time-division multiplexing (OTDM) interconnect system for a large number of nodes is studied. It is shown that the OTDM interconnect system has the potential to enable the construction of high-performance, highly scalable, and high bandwidth interconnects with cross-talk requirement of --30 dB.
