Abstract

Overall demand remains weak and a number of Q1 surveys took the view that the Scottish economy was stagnating and bumping along the bottom of the recession, however May [2013] survey data indicated that there was more of an emerging sense of a recovery and that that the worst of the recession is over, but that the recovery will be slow.
