Abstract of a paper presented at the Drug Utilisation Research Group (UK and Ireland) Conference, London, 4 Feb 2010. HMUD will provide access to data on medicines use at individual preparation level by each NHS hospital in Scotland. Both expenditure and amount used, as defined daily doses, will be available, where appropriate. Data from other NHS NSS data warehouses are included to provide additional reference material and denominator information such as population, and occupied bed days so that meaningful comparisons can be made.
