Abstract

Discusses, using case studies, the provisions of the Civil Partnership Act 2004 on the recognition of foreign same sex marriages and civil partnerships. Considers how the UK courts might address the problems concerning the recognition of foreign opposite sex civil unions and relationships where one party is a transsexual.
