Abstract

Digital transformation (DT) can enhance compliance, traceability, and efJiciency in Food Manufacturing SMEs (FMSMEs) but is often hindered by resource constraints and regulatory misalignment. This study draws on interviews with 15 UK stakeholders to identify key barriers and enablers, leading to the development of the Practitioner- Informed Digital Transformation (PI-DT) Framework. Comprising four strategic pillars and Jive implementation phases, the framework provides practical and scalable guidance for SME leaders, vendors, and policymakers.
