Abstract
We demonstrate the optical pumping of an array of semiconductor nanowire devices embedded in polymeric waveguides using LED-on-CMOS technology. Direct modulation and individual channel control of waveguide-coupled nanowire emission is achieved with a bandwidth of 150MHz. Integration of nanowires, waveguides and micro-LEDs on a single chip is also demonstrated.
