Abstract
In the UK, ~37,000 tonsillectomies are carried out annually with primary indications being acute recurrent tonsillitis (RT) and obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA). At the cost of £1,000 per procedure, there is a socioeconomic need for improve therapeutic options for pathological tonsils.
