Abstract

We demonstrate controlled Stokes/anti-Stokes emission from microscopic supraparticle laser structures made of blended β-NaYF4:Yb3+, Tm3+ upconverting nanoparticles and CdSeS/ZnS quantum dots. These structures enable multi-colored upconversion under CW infrared excitation while retaining the capability of single-color laser oscillation when excited at 355 nm.
