Abstract

Laser thresholds in CdSSe/ZnS colloidal quantum dot supraparticles have been reduced 2.6-fold by performing a ligand exchange, reducing the size of the ligand and increasing the packing density of quantum dots. A reduction in fluorescence lifetime from 14.1 ns to 10.9 ns is also reported.
