Abstract

The Scottish Sentencing Council commissioned the authors to research public perspectives attitudes to and knowledge of sentencing for environmental and wildlife offences. The researchers conducted seven two-hour focus groups with 55 people and a representative online survey of 1,053 adults to explore public views of the subject matter. This report of the research explains the background and context, research methods, findings and possible implications.
