Abstract

New research finds that the UK’s energy sector is at a critical turning point, with a deteriorating investment environment putting jobs, tax revenues and regional economies at risk. The research is accompanied by a podcast, in which Institute Director Professor Mairi Spowage discusses the current state of the energy industry, particularly in the North East of Scotland, with Professor Paul de Leeuw, Head of Energy Transition Institute at Robert Gordon University, and Hayley Strachan, Global Employer Services leader in Scotland for Deloitte.
