Abstract

This report, commissioned by Nesta and the Scottish Government and delivered by the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE) in partnership with the Digital Health & Care Innovation Centre (DHI), explores Scottish public attitudes to data sharing for health and wellbeing. Through workshops, interviews, and surveys, the project identifies core principles for data use, public concerns, and aspirations for person-centred, transparent, and empowering data systems. The findings inform recommendations for future engagement, policy, and technology development in Scotland’s data-enabled health and care landscape.
