Abstract

The See Me Stigma Session Evaluation 2024–25 captures the impact of a mental health stigma education session delivered to 110 Master of Pharmacy students at the University of Strathclyde. Led by Dr Natalie Weir, the evaluation draws on pre- and post-session surveys to assess shifts in attitudes, confidence, and understanding. Students reported a marked increase in their ability to discuss mental health openly and to recognise and challenge stigma and discrimination—particularly in relation to individuals experiencing delusions or suicidal thoughts. The Opening Minds Stigma Scale revealed a reduction in stigmatising beliefs and a stronger sense of compassion and professional responsibility among participants. Reflections highlighted the value of the session’s interactive format and safe space, with many students expressing a deeper appreciation of the pharmacist’s role in mental health support. Overall, the session appears to have broadened students’ perspectives on inclusive care and equipped them with practical strategies to reduce stigma in future practice.
