Abstract

Meet The RECCO Crew is an illustrated book series that turns the abstract entrepreneurship concepts of Resilience, Empathy, Collaboration, Creativity and Optimism into fun cartoon characters. This makes it easier for children to grasp and relate to these important entrepreneurship skills. Entrepreneurial skills are not just for starting new businesses. They help people try new things, solve complex problems, and work well with others to create novel solutions. In our current fast-changing world that requires constant innovation and adaptation, entrepreneurial skills are increasingly becoming life skills for all young people. This story illustrates how, when developing a new product, we cannot be sure how best to proceed. The RECCO Crew tackles the complexity of manufacturing, considers different options and learns through trial and error. The ultimate purpose of this story is to highlight the uncertainty experienced when starting a business and creating something new.
