Abstract
Made by a co-complexation reaction, heterobimetallic [(TMEDA)Li(μ-PPh2)2K(TMEDA)(THF)] has been crystallographically and spectroscopically characterised, modelled by DFT calculations, and its performance compared against those of its homometallic phosphide components in preliminary studies of its application in catalytic hydrophosphination reactions of a representative alkene.
