Abstract

This report presents the user experience evaluation of the Care in Place (CIP) project, a collaboration between the Moray Health and Social Care Partnership, the Digital Health & Care Innovation Centre (DHI), and the Rural Centre of Excellence for Digital Health and Care (RCE), with support from third sector organisations and Moray citizens. The project focuses on developing and testing digital tools—Community Connections Moray and the Personal Data Store—to improve access to support for older adults and unpaid carers in Moray, Scotland. Using co-design workshops, interviews, and questionnaires, the evaluation found that the tools enhanced user experience, information sharing, and empowerment, while identifying challenges such as login complexity and the need for broader user testing. The findings support ongoing development and integration of digital solutions to create a more person-centred, resilient care system.
