Abstract

Research in high-precision forging required to define changes of temperature in tools during forging production, since the changes could result in variations of component forms. The definition may be effected by FE simulation. Existing methods were, however, not applicable to the cases when a general-purpose FE code was employed for analysis tasks. A simplified procedure, which was implemented using a commercial FE code, was used to effect the analysis. Applications of the method showed high computational efficiency of the analysis.
