Abstract

We presented this A0 colour poster at the Science Live event, held at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh, in December 2011, at the beginning of the grant. The poster was designed to disseminate the research background and aims in an accessible style for the general public. It covered key aspects such as: describing the processes involved in maintainging visual information over the short-term and how they operate in everday life; discussing the complexities involved in cognitive ageing; and highlighting the key issues for investigation within the grant. Dr Elaine Niven presented the poster to the general public, describing the information in more detail and answering questions.
