Abstract

Nine articles grace this issue of the annual periodical produced by the English department. The theme is the place of Scotland in, and her impact on, the United Kingdom, which was forged three centuries ago by the union of Scotland and England. The contributing historians are from Scotland and Scandinavia, except one in England.
