Abstract

Summary form only given. This paper presents a novel and attractive alternative method to stabilise the emission of a 1063 nm vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VECSEL), by inserting inside the cavity a high-reflectivity grating. It offers high-power performance, wavelength-tunability and polarization control.
