The paper presents new empirical evidence from a sample of mature small firms that experienced venture capital investment pre-1994. Summary evidence from these meetings is presented on the companies' financial position and procedures both pre- and post-investment under the categories of: basic data; risk management; information-handling; and the trading of risk and information.
